Stay in Pavithram Homestay in Devikulam, The Head quarter of Munnar and not in Munnar Town

Devikulam (6 km’s from Munnar) this idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna and the cool mountain air offers a rare experience to visitors. The Sita Devi Lake with its mineral waters and picturesque surroundings is a good picnic spot. The lake is also ideal for trout fishing.

The location is ideal with cool mountain air, velvet lawns, ravishing tea gardens and calm atmosphere without having any crowd and town conjunction.

“Stay here and not in Munnar town”

Date of review: Mar 20, 2011
This is a fantastic homestay. It is in a small town about 6km from Munnar town. It is quiet and there are acres of tea plantations, which you can wander through up the back of the house. The family is very friendly and the food, which is highly recommended, is yummy. Our room was very large and clean. The price is good and it includes an Indian or continental breakfast. The owner is also keen to help out with follow on travel, including car travel. Overall - highly recommended for a homestay and much better than Munnar, which is busy and hot.
