“Stay here and not in Munnar town”

Date of review: Mar 20, 2011
This is a fantastic homestay. It is in a small town about 6km from Munnar town. It is quiet and there are acres of tea plantations, which you can wander through up the back of the house. The family is very friendly and the food, which is highly recommended, is yummy. Our room was very large and clean. The price is good and it includes an Indian or continental breakfast. The owner is also keen to help out with follow on travel, including car travel. Overall - highly recommended for a homestay and much better than Munnar, which is busy and hot.

ARE YOU PLANNING TO VISIT INDIA? THEN YOU HAVE TO VISIT MUNNAR IN KERALA, THE PLACE KNOWN AS KASHMIR IN KERALA!!!

Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams namely Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala. This hill station, located at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level, was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands is the 'Neelakurinji'. It  blooms once in 12 years.

We provide a beautiful and nice homestay with fantastic service for an affordable rate.
